We went to a marketplace just east of the Forbidden City. All decked out for Chinese New Year. And yes, I did buy chopsticks and some Peking Opera Masks.
The city has a very festive feel. Most Chinese take a week off around New Year to travel home and visit with family. There was a lot of 'Christmas Eve' type shopping going on today.
